PATEROS CELEBRATES "HEALTHY PATEROS WEEK"

The Municipality of Pateros had launched the Healthy Pateros Week 2009 with the theme "Mas Maayos na Kalikasan, Mas Malusog na Kinabukasan".  The weeklong celebration started from December 7 up to December 13, 2009.

The Healthy Pateros Task Force spearheaded the celebration in cooperation with the Municipal Health Office headed by Dra. Anchit Cuevas and staff. Various activities were conducted as follows:

Sunday, December 6; 8:00AM to 10:00AM - Pateros Cycling Club Time Trial Lap

Monday, December 7
8:00AM-10:00AM        No Vehicle Hour @ B. Morcilla Street
Hataw Exercise
Launching of Healthy Pateros Week
Lanching of Feeding Program
Launching of Health Schools/Barangays

Tuesday, December 8    Sticker Day on No Smoking c/o Pateros Technological College

            Lecture on Hand Washing @ Bisig ng Komunidad, Zone 5

Wednesday, December 9
8:00AM            Mock Demo on Disaster Management @ Pateros National High School
10:00AM            Toothbrushing Drill @ Bisig ng Komunidad, Zone 5

Thursday, December 10
3:00PM            Tree Planning Activities
            Global Vision @ Pateros Elementary School

Friday, December 11    
7:00AM            Arnis Training Demo @ Pateros Elementary School
8:00AM            Recyclable @ Pateros Municipal Hall

Saturday, December 12    
            Physical Activity @ San Roque Parish Patio
            Arnis Training Demo

Sunday, December 13    Mass Blood Letting Activity @ Pateros Municipal Hall
            

A total of 82 trees were planted at Panday River, Martirez Day Care Center, Masagana and Pateros National High School.  The Arnis training Demo, sponsored by Rotary Club of Pasong Tamo and Knights of Columbus, was participated by almost 200 participants with Mr. Bill Velasco as the trainor. The "Mass Blood Letting Activity" was participated mostly by the Pateros Cycling Club.
