- Preparation, updating or revision of the comprehensive land use plan and other comprehensive development plans.
- Culling out of prgrams and projects from the different sectoral plan which are of local ownership and responsibility to be included in the Annual Investment Plan.
- Coordinating through public consultations, seminars, workshops,and other modes of involving the diiferent sector of the society in all stages of the planning process.
- Serving as the technical secretariat to the Local Development Council and other special bodies as assigned by the Mayor.
