
The town of Pateros view sports and recreation as an important factor to promote the health and friendship among the residents of the town.
In this small town, the most popular sport activity is out-door type. Of the outdoor type of sports, basketball is top followed by volleyball and recently badminton. As of 2008, there are ten (10) basketball courts recorded in Pateros. The schools front yards also serve basketball and volleyball fields for the enthusiasts and school children. The only forms of indoor recreation known are draft, billiard, table tennis and bowling. Some families have their own tables for the said indoor sports. However, there are private halls and alleys on several barangay for these games.
There is one cockpit arena located at Barangay Martires del '96 commonly known as Starter.
Two entertainment/convention facilities offer swimming activities for their guests. These are Villa Monica Clubhouse and Grand Villa Resort and Restaurant.
